Built with the ultimate motorcycle adventure in mind, the Expedition is a fully equipped, go anywhere, do anything machine that can tackle nearly any situation on or off the road. Straight from the factory the Expedition comes with everything a rider and a passenger may need to travel to the edge of the world and back. On top of the standard Gear Up's already respectable loadout, the Expedition comes with more luggage space, tougher bike and sidecar protection, matching windshields, upgraded suspension, and more.
Each year we come out with limited edition series, often built with quirky bits inspired by nuclear icebreakers, international space stations, drone carriers or even Bond-themed vehicles. This year's limited edition is built out with our team's carefully selected off-roading upgrades available in one complete package to encourage any serious dual-sport adventurers for the most challenging terrains. Inspired by the sandy dunes of the great Sahara desert and by one of our most iconic limited editions, this Gear Up is an all-time favorite of Ural riders around the world.
The Sahara starts with a Gear Up Standard with a black powertrain, toolbox gas tank, and custom Sahara paint and decals. Leg mudguards, hand protectors, and a smoked windshield are added to protect the rider from stinging sand and searing desert winds. The bike's headlight is shielded by a headlight rock guard, and the taillight is protected by a sturdy taillight guard. Additional luggage racks are bolted to the sidecar's nose and fender for more carrying capacity, and further protection is provided by sidecar turn signal guards and a sturdy sidecar bumper.
