The KTM SX-E 5 is an all-electric mini-crosser aimed at both beginner and competitive junior riders. With zero emissions and minimal sound pollution, it takes its place at the leading edge of competitive mini-cross, and provides a real-world READY TO RACE alternative to the petrol-powered 50 cc engine. Featuring high-quality components that make it significantly different from the many electric mini-cycles available on the market, the KTM SX-E 5 is a fully-fledged competition motorcycle, making it more accessible to younger riders for use in areas where noise emissions are restricted.
ELECTRIC MOTOR
This fully electric, battery-powered air-cooled permanent magnet motor produces a healthy 3.9 kW, featuring an extremely compact and slim design that perfectly matches the KTM SX-E' 5s smaller chassis. It's also dust and waterproof which makes it wear and maintenance-free, while the integrated control unit (ECU) guarantees a direct, but very controllable power delivery.
RIDE MODES
A multifunctional instrument display is located between the steering head and seat. Here, the user can select between the six different ride modes. Each mode offers different power characteristics suited for pure beginners all the way up to experienced racers. The instrument also displays the remaining charge of the battery.
SUSPENSION
The KTM SX-E 5 features a modern, fully adjustable WP XACT air fork, with outstanding comfort, damping characteristics and directional stability. The 35 mm upside-down front fork has 205 mm of travel and thanks to the air spring fitted in the left fork leg, can be adjusted to perfectly suit the rider's weight using a simple air pump.
